Hello, cool and awesome people of the internets. I grew up here in western Washington, mostly on Whidbey Island, which probably has a lot to do with me being a water baby. I do love the sea life, swimming, and being near bodies of water.

Since I can remember, I’ve always loved horses and drawing horses. I had books to learn, posters everywhere, and when I was older my parents were able to get me into some horse riding lessons and join a horse 4H club.

When we moved to southern Utah, I attended DSU and acquired my Bachelors for Communication in New Media: Digital Film. My final project was to create a documentary about anything. I chose to do one on the current state of wild horses in the area - southern Utah has a few herd management areas by the BLM - and the struggle between ranchers and wild horse advocates. The eight minute documentary can be seen on the video page. Unfortunately, my cat slept on the keyboard one night and somehow deleted my hour-long documentary version. Which is disappointing, because I had spent so many months working on it. Can’t stay mad at the cat, though, he didn’t know what he was doing.

The passion continues to this day, where I volunteer at Save A Forgotten Equine (SAFE) in Redmond. It's a horse rescue and rehab facility where they do such a fantastic job with teaching volunteers, organizing events and of course, taking great care of all the horses that are currently in their care.
